I really want Hanzo and Hijikata CR in general - they're both Company men with similar 'serious' temperaments, but Hijikata is a lot more prone to angry idiot outbursts if prodded the right way.

The best way to get these two to do anything other than 'a mission by the books' would be to throw them into a stupid/weird/straining situation, since that would stretch them beyond their usual efficiency.

MAYBE they could be rounding up a group of protesters when they get swept away with the movement of the crowd, and end up heading back to the 'hub' of those particular Resistance members - in which case they are severely outnumbered with eyes on them, and are forced to blend in. That includes some questionable acting, awkward situations, but still with some action at the end since they'll need to get out without being implicated lmao It also falls into Hanzo getting a look inside the Resistance ;u;
