Note that for the public broadcasts (noted in the above timeline), we'll be putting up the new posts as they get closer to real-time. As such, the first broadcast is available here.

To help you get started, here are some potential quick notes for things you could do with these prompts--but feel free to expand or come up with something entirely on your own!

Prompt Notes

The Nine

Delle Seyah Kendry has requested the RAC conduct an 'impartial' investigation to determine who is behind the attack on Land Derrish - after, of course, planting a difficult to find and subtle trail leading those investigators directly to her enemy's doorstep. Which team, or teams, is going to have the dubious honor of giving the Lady what she wants?

Other members of the Nine have also decided that they need their own verification, so this is an opportunity for characters that are members of the Nine to step in and either help or hinder Land Kendry's ambitions.

The Company

Mid-to-Upper level Company officials will be tasked with the duty to either clean house (someone had to have given information to the True Leithians for them to strike and acquire all those papers so quickly), assess loyalties within, or attempt to maintain order during Harvest week. The question through it all is, for you Company gals and guys, will you be the one interrogated - or the interrogator?

Maybe even both?

After the pandemic starts on Leith, however, priorities will shift a bit. Some will be needed to provide security around the quarantine zones while others will be needed to guard the medical teams as they struggle with a rapidly declining population across not just one moon, but two.

Westies

Party like it's 1999, and wake up with that New Year's psychotic break!

True Leithians

Thought they were exterminators this round, imprisoning and framing Westie scientist Zan Nikora for the pandemic.

Leithians

Will be falling to the pandemic in droves, once the initial incubation period has passed. Once the hospitals on Leith make the call, the moon will go into quarantine for all cities that have either been affected or have had commerce to. The only location on the moon that might be free of the stop-movement will be the Monastery.

Resistance

A lot to do for those already set to plot the Company's downfall! Coordinate with info brokers to find a new cell or contacts within the movement, Find new safe and storage houses, coordinate with Scarbacks to funnel in supplies and weaponry, seek out those Company employees that seem sympathetic to the Resistance's cause...

Major Plot Points

P43X - Bio Attack

The infection will spread in the following stages. Note that time frames provided are for a normal, plain-jane metabolism -- characters who are enhanced or augmented can expect to experience the stages at a different rate. The rate is up to you, whether it's faster or slower, as it will vary between individuals. Not all symptoms will be experienced by an individual and as they progress through the stages, some of their previous symptoms are likely to become exacerbated while others may disappear entirely.

Note that participation is optional; you can sidestep the infection itself as long as your character isn't in the direct line of exposure (Leithian bazaar, W2D6) and have them participate in the form of relief work, trying to escape the paranoid and manic NPCs (or PCs), and etc! This is a great opportunity to start messing with their memory regains in the form of fevered-delirium, although whether or not those regains are fully accurate is up to you -- they're ill, after all!

Additionally, since death is permanent here, we recommend leaving the brain death to NPCs.

2 (Acute)	3-4	High fevers, multimodal hallucinations, delusions, paranoia, intense fatigue, mania, difficulty concentrating, neuropathic pain, coma, brain death.
3 (Convalescence)	2-3	Symptoms begin to dissipate as the individual recovers, though the pathogen may remain present and put others at risk of infection.

A cure will be developed and disseminated through Company, RAC, and volunteer hands between W4D3-W4D5, halting the progression of whatever stage your character happens to be in during that time and putting them into Stage 3.

Emergency Meeting of the Nine

On the last day of the chapter, an emergency meeting will be called with the Nine to discuss recent events and their response. Note that the failure of the Seventh Generation Accords is a fixed plot point, so this month we'll be taking an OOC vote on the result and using IC actions to support either end in the narrative, while returning to the cooperative style plotting seen in Chapter 1 hereafter.

Please vote, OOC, on which scenario you would prefer to see with a +1 in either the abolish or delay threads here.

Scenario: Delay

The Council will vote to delay Claimant Day until the True Leithian and Resistance threat can be eradicated, auspiciously under the guise of system stability. As such, the system will retain relative stability while focusing its efforts on quashing both the Resistance and True Leithian terrorists during Chapter 3. Land Kendry will continue to manipulate the political arena within the Nine in order to amass support and ultimately strike down the Seventh Generation Accord at the beginning of Chapter 4.

Scenario: Abolish

The Council will vote to abolish the Accords immediately, citing the actions of Zan Nikora and the True Leithians as evidence of civil rebellion. Martial law will be imposed on Westerley and any disobedience will be met with immediate punishment at the hands of Company agents. The Resistance, still a fledgling organization, will rally support amongst the Westie population and launch its first true counterattack at Company forces, starting our faction war in Chapter 3.

Primary Faction Goals: Going Around Being Useful. He'll be assigned under SF at some point early in the chapter so what happens after that will depend on her directive, but I'm aiming to keep him on Leith but not have him infected because he needs to retain his sanity for part 2 of the chapter. Other than that I'm going to go free and easy since it's my first month here

Secondary Faction Goals: Have him set some bodies on fire. It's a pretty symbolic thread that I would like to have. Other than that I'm keeping my options open so I can adjust to the pace here!

Desired CR: Friends and allies, mostly - but I'm also up for negative CR. He's a lineface type so he won't really care until someone crosses moral boundaries, then it's instant mode change and it's something I would like to play out. It might get dangerous though so LET'S STICK TO WORKING TOGETHER FOR NOW.

Offered CR: Lineface Central CR, Loyal Company Dog CR. He's the type to just follow orders without questioning/or even judging the people with him, so he's oddly indifferent despite his stickler for rules. Do question him though so he has to be put on edge and defend his actions... it's not something he's used to???

Also he's been working for the Company for 5 years so I'm always up for pre-established CR!

He's mostly running Resistance through Scarbacks and RAC, but he really wants to see who he can get from the Company on their side.

he'll also badly want in on the zan nikora warrant, but that's up to the rng gods and anybody willing to partner with him.

Secondary Faction Goals: n/a, too complex for dumb boys.

Desired CR: infobrokers -- specifically, someone who can (i) pass him information on a seedy shipdealer's business so that he can finally convince someone to rent something that'll get him off-planet; (ii) tell him about zan nikora, because fuck if keith listens to info on a regular basis. look, he'll pay for info and he'll ask very nicely.*

mechanics -- given his Extremely Real Westerley Backstory (TM), keith ttttends towards occasionally hotwiring vehicles to get around the city. that + the item recovery warrant means that he will probably . . . need someone who'll let him open up a tab. or maybe just hassle him for the increasing amount of money he'll come to owe them over time. i'm really good for either.

Secondary Faction Goals: MORE HEALING. as reports of the infection spread from Leith she'll be conflicted on whether to stay with the needy or go to the infected. if you have news from Leith, she'll want to hear it.

Primary Faction Goals: Iiii kind of want him to get sick! But just up to stage 1. I also want him to regain a memory some time during this chapter. ANYWAY—his main goal (despite being ill) would be to help as many people as possible. He's a bleeding heart that way!

Secondary Faction Goals: Have more stupid interactions (why this)

Desired CR: Positive CR for now. He's... a bit difficult when it comes to that, but he's a very nice person despite his tough hobo exterior. And maybe someone who can help him out while he's sick, too. BUT I'M OPEN TO ANYTHING!

Offered CR: He works at one of the cafes at the bazaar, so his workplace is busy. If your character is the type who visits cafes frequently, then HE'S ALL YOURS. Primary Faction Goals: Steinbeck is going to be putting in all his efforts to help the Resistance out using his status as a Scarback and will be coordinating secret supply efforts, pressing Company people for passcodes, and other Resistance stuff. He will probably get infected at some point, but thanks to his bio enhancements it will progress slower for him than usual. If you want him to infect your character by accident LET ME KNOW.

Secondary Faction Goals: He'll be looking out for the few friends he has and just making sure they're safe and sound during the whole chaos of the thing!

Desired CR: PRETTY MUCH ANYTHING...Company people he can try to stab in the back/antagonize, fellow Resistance people he can coordinate and help, just anyone who would be interested in him as a Scarback, I'm up for all I can get.

Offered CR: John Steinbeck can be ur angle...or ur devil...seriously though, while he's very sweet and nice to people he's close to, he can be quite the ruthless and cunning individual who will hurt and kill people in the name of the Resistance. Primary Faction Goals: Basically Kate's going to be focusing on the Resistance, because fuck the police/her dad. I'm coming in with the assumption that she's been working with them for a while, and she'll be all RAH RAH LET'S GO about getting things in motion.

Secondary Faction Goals: I don't know I'm too new for this help me

Desired CR: I'm pretty much up for anything, but Kate's been running her P.I. thing and in the Resistance for a bit, so basically she'll be trying to make as many contacts as possible, both those sympathetic to the movement and just people who can help her solve crime. Any infobrokers, doctors, Killjoys and Enforcers to hassle, or just buddies she can hang out with. Also if anyone wants to help her make some sweet new trick arrows, that might be some fun CR. If anyone wants to hash out pre-existing CR, I'm totally down for that, too.

Offered CR: Kate is one of those obnoxious do-gooders, so she could easily run into people on Westerley that way, by offering to help them or shoving herself into the middle of a fight. Basically, your usual overconfident hero stuff. She's also stubborn af, so I can absolutely see her butting heads with certain people! Generally Kate tends to get along with all types, and she has a dry, sarcastic sense of humor and is your pretty typical extrovert. Also she loves dogs. If you have a dog, she'll absolutely bother the shit out of you about it.

Primary Faction Goals: Early on, Sion will be tasked with holding interrogations for the Company !! If anyone wants to do a tag-team approach on this with a NPC, I'd be down. Then, he'll be monitoring the situation on Leith from afar while working on logistical-coordination for other Company members to travel to the quarantine zone before...!
Secondary Faction Goals: Ultimately heading to Leith himself where he will likely partake in b-b-burning the bodies, light motivational speaking (IN THIS DARK HOUR...), and shielding medics from harm.
Desired CR: People to foster and grow resistance ties with, warrant work (if any RAC agents would like a Company tag-a-long...!), information brokers to help him locate his MIA mom on Westerley, and honestly positive/negative CR are both good by me. Aaaalso if there are any Company enforcers who'd like an admin to belong to/receive directive from, lemme know. o9
Offered CR: Sion is a huge troll and will approach anyone who he deems to be in need of light harassment 'cheering up'. He's also good for playing the hero and rescuing, princess carrying, or otherwise assisting your sick/injured character in Leith...!!

Location:primarily Westerly but can also potentially be elsewhere...wherever the Company decides to deploy him to so I'm open to stuff

Primary Faction Goals: He'd prooobably be used for some 'house cleaning' Company stuff, due to the Cerberus Unit's unwavering loyalty plus they're pretty terrifying. Could also be fairly useful guarding quarrantine zones seeing as he's immune to poisons and pathogens etc. I'm super new though so open to ideas.

Secondary Faction Goals: Stuff and things!

Desired CR: ALL SORTS!

Wanna play temporary Dog Handler? You just need a character with enough Company clearance to be able to accompany a Dog on whatever assignment...so like, 'interrogation' of the violent variety, hunting down suspects and disposing of them, that kind of thing. Open to more ideas here.

Need a bodyguard? He's good at that.

Run ins with RAC agents! Maybe they're both working for the same thing when Company/RAC goals cross over and you end up unwillingly stuck with him. This CR could be negative to neutral.

I'M OPEN TO IDEAS and very new so come at me.

Offered CR: Good for negative CR, potential for building positive relationships over time, super open really. If you're Company he's likely to be at least distantly polite but kind of sassy, becoming more obedient/subservient the higher ranked the character is. Anyone else gets sass and snark. Violence is always possible if you want it but there needs to be a good enough reason because he'll follow orders very closely and won't step outside of them unless he's certain it's okay/he can get away with it ahah.

Desired CR:

Uphold order on Westerley during Harvest Week, carry out investigations on other Company officials, have an investigation made into his own background [his ancestry is local Leithan, and he doesn't exactly have a good pedigree]

Desired CR: Positive and negative CR are both welcome! I'd love for Hijikata to form relationships with those within the Company [past CR too!], and for him to get to know some of the people who live on Westerley as well, whether they're criminals or just trying to get by.
Offered CR: A temperamental, violent man who is very VERY easy to tease and provoke. He's ready to make arrests, with as much violence as necessary (and maybe a little extra). As of right now he's unsympathetic to the resistance, and won't be friendly with anyone known to have ties with them. For his fellow Company employees, however, he'll go quite far, so if anyone needs help with anything, he'll probably lend a hand.

As for potential pre-existing CR; Hijikata is 27 and grew up first on Leith, then moved to Westerley alone when he was 11, so either place could be an opportunity for CR!
Anything else? I'll probably have him only catch initial symptoms of the disease, if any, so he's ready to deal with sick people who might need looked after ovo7

Primary Faction Goals: Warrants until he can't ignore the fact he's seeing weird af things from a fever, then softly almost dying, then more warrants. He's interested in The Nine but also Hates Them, so. Might pursue some of the Nine angles?
Secondary Faction Goals: Lavi isn't overly invested in anything that isn't related to his position as a bookman (weird history keeper) but he also sucks at actually being impartial and with memory regains he's gonna start to really suck. Feelings will happen, I'm sorry.
Desired CR:
- Continuing old CR!
- More killjoys.
- Someone he can actually, truly hate.
- Scarbacks!! He loves all of you and also works p closely with them.

Offered CR: While she's super skittish, Alice can be a very good friend and be pretty loyal? Also, if you're looking to really set her off, I'm down for that. I'm new, so anything goes!

Desired CR: ALL THE THINGS. People to run warrants with, current/established CR to keep pushing against his stubborn self to build more complex bonds. New CR to test his patience or ability to regenerate... Seee? I just want it all.
Offered CR: All I've got to give you is this bastard. Somehow, it seems like I'm giving you the short end of the stick...

But no, seriously. He and Lavi are a team, but I definitely want to get him more CR with other killjoys, and he's already been to the Scarback monastery, so much as he thinks the religion is BS, he likes their pad. Locals in both Leith and Westerley that can challenge his very black and white Company & Nine vs Him worldview would be amazing. He also moonlites at a couple of bars in old town playing bouncer and ass-kicker to drunk and annoying locals in exchange for the good hokk, so there can be bar brawl shenanigans! He's a jerk, true, but he's from current canon so he's a slightly more considering one that is already having significant (if unclear as of yet) bleed-through of his real memories. I'd like to use this pandemic to bring a few of those memories to the front and leave him thinking they were brought on by the sickness.

Primary Faction Goals: Wildcard, bros! Mel will lean towards being an informant for whichever side he likes at any given time. At the moment, he doesn't really care who wins! It's the nice thing about running a bar--it's a rumor mill.
Secondary Faction Goals: ...Maybe something that will end with Meliodas getting a better jukebox and sound system for the bar.
Desired CR:
*'Old' handwaved CR from the RAC/Company that would have known him through either second-hand or direct exposure! Let's say Meliodas was a shame and kind of betrayed them both...
*Patrons to inhabit his cozy little bar.
*People trying to take advantage of his old ties/his lack of affiliation.
*All kinds of new CR with folks who're still fledglings.
Offered CR: A buddy to help you when you're in need. Believe it or not, Meliodas only holds one grudge and it's towards himself. He'd be willing to help either side if they appealed to him... How can he help, though?
He's a wellspring of old Company information, he runs a rumor mill, he's offered protection in the form of hiding spaces for various criminals from both sides of the river on the run and he's likely to continue doing so.

Primary Faction Goals: Connecting sympathizers with members of the Resistance and elsewise recruiting/spreading information. He uses the fact that he's a] technically blind and b] therefore unassuming to fly under the radar and keep an ear out for information coming back and forth. He's well acquainted with the Scarbacks.

Secondary Faction Goals: Crowd control! Or bar control?? Ignis will be working probably at the Royale/some other Popular Bars in Old Town to take advantage of extra hours and more tips with the influx of people. Generally speaking Ignis is That Guy who has probably served you at the bar, or you've had his Excellent Cooking at the restaurant down the street which seems like it should be too good for a slummy place like Old Town. When the sickness starts hitting he'll be trying to direct people to places to get help.

Desired CR:
- friends! connections! iggy needs to know some other resistance peeps and probably some rac agents and also scarbacks!
- people who love his cooking...
- pre-established cr for sure he's been around for like 5 yrs
- people to take care of, his whole shtick was being a chamberlain so he's naturally inclined
